Frequently asked questions

  • Who is it for?

    543 Dencare is designed for patients who wish to attend the practice on a regular basis and have the peace of mind that their check-ups, preventive care and emergency care are covered in one low monthly fee.

  • How much does it cost?

    The 543 Dencare Secure plan costs just £12.50 per month and the Safe plan costs £18 per month. Both are much less than the long-term cost of dental interventions.

  • What happens in an emergency?

    For emergencies at home, call 543 Dental Centre on 01482 501010 for an urgent appointment. If abroad, you will have access to a 24-hour, 365-day worldwide dental emergency helpline, which will endeavour to find an English-speaking dentist to assist you.

  • How do you join?

    For details of how to join 543 Dencare Safe, please contact an advisor on 07772 640585 or enquire at the practice reception. You must be dentally fit in order to join the Safe plan and may be requested to undergo an examination by a dentist prior to joining.

    Then all you have to do is complete a 543 Dencare application form, which includes the payment authorisation and direct debit mandate for the Plan Administrator. In addition to your first monthly payment, a one-off registration fee of £10 per person will be payable by you to the Plan Administrator and will be included in your first direct debit payment.

  • Do you need a check-up before joining?

    You must be dentally fit in order to join the Safe plan and may be requested to undergo an examination by a dentist prior to joining. There is no dental fitness prerequisite for the Secure plan.

  • What does the Supplementary Insurance Policy cover?

    Your Supplementary Insurance Policy provides:

    Cover for:

    • Up to £10,000 worth of treatment following dental injury
    • Temporary emergency treatment whilst away from home in the UK or abroad (up the limits specified)
    • The call-out fee charged by a dentist opening their surgery to treat you in an emergency (up to the limits specified)

    • Hospital cash benefit if under the care of an oral/maxillofacial surgeon
    • Cash benefit if diagnosed with oral cancer
    • 24-hour access to a worldwide emergency helpline
